The Series “Obama’s Brutal War on America" gives an oversight on the coming and going of a rogue Administration not shy of their tyrannical intentions.

America is the size of a continent.  There are not many countries in the world in the same scale, geographically and metaphorically speaking.  Analytical observation reveals a defeatist people in the face of reality. It could also hint to ungovernability -unless there  are responsible checks and balances from the interested side that holds the power, namely, the people.

Obamacare, we argued yesterday, is the President’s frontal attack against the health “care” that otherwise should have been a top priority of an America-loving President.

We will focus this time on Obama's brutal attack on the American military.

The attack on the military has many facets.  One defining step was the abolition DADT, Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy that this President has been too keen in neutralizing.

Mr. Obama has a thing for the homosexual issue as it is obviously an efficient tool to emasculate the army of a nation and weaken its military defense.

With all due respect to homosexuals, the mere fact of being a homosexual man is the intrinsic rise in their beings of their feminine side. Expecting such a person to defend the country is not like placing America’s security at the sound, trained hands of G.I. Jane but rather in the delicate ones of Scarlett O’Hara.

More attacks of the Obama Administration were yet to come.

Fast-forwarding, are the tragic events at Fort Hood, where a Muslim terrorist, Nidal Malik Hasan, massacred 13 members of the United States Army at their military base and injured 32.  Despite “major” Hasan cowardly shooting his innocent, unsuspecting colleagues at the terrorist cry of Allah Hu Aqbar, the Obama Administration had the audacity to classify his treacherous attack as “workplace violence.”  Thus, the survivors of the victims as well as the injured, could not receive the Purple Heart status, meaning that the financial support they should be entitled receive in similar cases, this time is off limits for them.

Although the Hasan trial has resulted in a death sentence that is yet to be scheduled, his photo on Wikipedia shows him ostensibly wearing the American military outfit.

A few months after the capture of Osama Bin Laden and the treacherous public disclosure by the American President of the existence of the until then unknown highly trained counter-terrorism group Seal Team Six, 23 of its members, supposedly the same involved in the Bin Laden capture, were massacred at the hands of the Taliban.  There is no room for doubt on whom the source of the Taliban was:  The Obama Administration and, most particularly, the DoD.

On September 11th, 2012, eleven years after 9/11, in Benghazi, again the American President turned his back on former Navy Seals who were in charge of the safety of the American Ambassador Christopher Stevens. Seems Obama was looking at the events unfolding at the beginning, but he left the television room while Americans were caught, tortured and slaughtered by barbaric Islamic terrorists.   Obama could have sent support to at least try and help those Americans, but he left them to die at the hands of the barbarians.

So far, justice has not been served.

The President knows perfectly well what he is doing.

Recently, Chief of Staff Gen. Ray Odierno did not hide his dissatisfaction when he announced to America and the world, “The [American] Army will have to move into an “extreme tiered readiness model” as it struggles to train and equip soldiers amid the ongoing fiscal crisis...”

“What we’ve been forced to do is cut readiness, cut modernization,” Odierno said. “We still have brigades, but if we ask them to go, they are not [ready]. That is not acceptable to me.” It should also be unacceptable to the American public at large.

It is worrisome when senior Army leaders say that only two brigade combat teams are combat-ready, in addition to those, preparing to deploy to Afghanistan or rotate to Korea.  Furthermore, it will become more and more challenging to train armored brigade combat teams that are costlier than training infantry and Stryker BCTs. In all, there is something wrong in America’s defense and safety.

That is not all.

The Commander-in-Chief is waging his own personal purge vendetta among the most heavily starred Generals that America has or, rather, had.

Right from the onset, the Obama Administration set the tone, firing General David McKiernan on grounds of “dissatisfaction” with the way the war in Afghanistan was going.  Probably, not enough friendly to Mr. Obama’s proteges, the on-and-off Taliban terrorists.  Then was the turn to Special Ops General Stanley McChrystal, also leading the American team in Afghanistan, fired mostly because he dared ruffle Biden’s feathers.

The highly decorated and respected General David Petraeus did not escape the razzia.  The man who was in charge of the surge and the success of the counter-insurgency strategy in Iraq, and demoted from CentCom, Central Command to lead the Afghan war, was Obama's nominee to the directorship of the CIA; thus he had to resign after roughly forty years of military service.  Later on, the Petraeus’s affair with his biographer was “discovered”. Another four-star general took the exit door.

Most recently and relatively calmly, the Obama Administration disposed of yet another four-star General John Allen, whose private flirtatious emails seem to have been sufficient reason for him to lose the job.

So Obama continues dismantling the American military, in purposeful quietness while Americans enjoy their soporific state and the rise of the soothing tyranny.

Now, the President has had yet another genius idea to even further “change” the military.  The idea is to create a unisex-style cap for the Marine Corps' uniform, so feminine looking that many have derided as "girly."

Does it matter that DoD will spend $8 million on such woman-like accessory -when reportedly they do not even have enough funding to buy bullets?

The whole purpose of this move, is double tiered:  Firstly, it intends to demoralize American men who are in the navy and equalize them to their homosexual colleagues who will feel comfortable and undoubtedly will welcome this more girly addition to their wardrobe. Secondly, it shows Obama how far he can continue violating the moral and the dignity of those who sacrifice all to defend the country and show them how they are defenseless because the American people do not stand up to defend them.

Lastly but by far not least, the total demoralization within the American army could not happen without undermining patriotic politics and religion, i.e., the traditional American religion and the Tea Party. That is precisely what the Obama Administration is doing.

There are reports that soldiers attending a pre-deployment briefing at Fort Hood, of all places, heard that evangelical Christians and members of the Tea Party were a threat to the country and that any soldier donating to those organizations would be subjected to punishment under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

In a Gestapo-like behavior, seems that counter-intelligence agents in charge of such meetings,  spent nearly a half hour briefing soldiers on how evangelical Christians and organizations like the American Family Association were “tearing the country apart.”

When General Odierno speaks of “ongoing fiscal crisis,” it is fair to ask, “which crisis?”  As far as Obama regards, he hands out hundreds of millions and billions to his pet causes abroad, from the Muslim Brotherhood, to African electricity and passing by the Palestinians. Just another way for the President to continue ruining America.

This is no longer about partisanship because the individuals affected will include democrats and republicans alike.

The evidence that is mounting against the current President and his Administration, and his most perverse ill will against the country and the American people are massive and crushing.

Obama is brutally attacking and betraying America and Americans.  He and his gang are committing untold acts that, one day, will end up in crimes against humanity against Americans who are reading these lines and, many generations to come.  

To be sure, they are going after democrats and republicans alike.  Taking in consideration that democrats were the ones who got him elect, numerically speaking they are the ones who will ache most.  Is that what they wanted?

America has no use for a President who is her enemy number one.  

 The time for this President is up.

America is under a brutal war waged by the president himself with the democratic party and globalists at large. It shows with Obamacare, the disarming of the army, the de facto immigration taking place on a daily basis, the cruel laws promoting abortion to the point of committing crimes against healthfully born babies.  Things are also bad when one looks at the destruction of cities as in the case of Detroit, the outright assassination of Americans in Benghazi or the highly trained Team Six, massacred in Afghanistan thanks to inside treason.

OBAMACARE OXYMORON

Healthcare reform was candidate Barack Hussein Obama’s pet project, presenting competitive rates.  It began as a document with such a countless number of pages that it not even lawmakers were able to read it completely.   However, Congress, last year, passed the 906-page “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” followed by the 55-page “Healthcare and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010.”  Both together form Obamacare.

Obamacare is a coercion plan that from the onset puts pressure on users who are unable to get information on rates, so the public can get a rough idea of what awaits them.  Instead, users must, metaphorically speaking, strip themselves answering all kinds of questions which, after the state invasion of privacy acquired by the NSA, should be superfluous, but, no, NSA information is not enough.  They must have it, one more time, recorded for eternity as a way to chain Americans to the invisible slavery that now links them forever to the progressive system.

Comparatively, out-of-pockets costs in the Medicaid system were minimum. In the insurance marketplaces of Obamacare, however, there are four levels of coverage: Bronze, silver, gold and platinum. Those levels correspond to the amount of health costs to be covered for an average applicant: 60 percent for bronze, 70 percent for silver, 80 percent for gold, 90 percent for platinum (there’s also a bare-bones “catastrophic" option available to applicants under age 30). The lower your level of coverage, the more you will pay out of pocket.

And, although Obama has been striving on pushing “equality” under all shapes and forms, here he presents America his Obamacare that hierarchizes America with four levels that hide different traps for its users.

There are also many Obamacare traps for employers,, to the point that many have began firing or reducing the work hours of their employees early in 2013, to avoid facing the weight of sanctions from the new healthcare reform.  

Indeed, as of 2014, Obamacare's "Employer Mandate" will set fines on employers with 50 or more employees who do not provide a certain level of health benefits. Because of certain IRS regulations many businesses are running their businesses in 2013 as if the Employer Mandate was already in effect. That means that, even now, businesses already had to cut worker hours to avoid being fined by Obamacare.

OBAMACARE ASSAULT ON AMERICANS

“Americans for Limited Government” remind us in their letter of June 19, 2012 to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), that when candidate Obama was first campaigning for the Affordable Care Act, he lied when he promised that, “First of all, if you’ve got health insurance, you like your doctors, you like your plan, you can keep your doctor, you can keep your plan. Nobody is talking about taking that away from you.”  

However, an HHS’s new “accommodation” took on a different tone, noting that “nothing precludes a religious organization from switching from a self-insured plan to an insured plan” in order to comply with the new regulation.  This suggestion signaled a contempt for self-insurance in America, and a lack of confidence in its TPA (third party alternative) option for self-insurers.

AFFORDABLE CARE ACT?  NOT REALLY

According to a study released by the American Action Forum, under Obamacare, for instance, the price of the lowest-cost health insurance coverage for a 30 year old single male non-smoker is set to increase by 260 percent between 2013 and 2014.

The 30 year old subject is part of a healthy group known as “young invincibles,” 18-35 year olds whose participation in the health insurance exchanges is necessary in order for the markets to function properly.  In consequence, when the same methodology is applied to a 30 year old single female nonsmoker purchasing the lowest-cost bronze level plan, the results – including an average increase of 193 percent – are just as shocking.

There were no decreases in 2014 premium rates for healthy, 30 year old women under the Obamacare exchange system as compared to the individual market in 2013. All 50 states and the District of Columbia saw insurance rate increases, with 42 of those states experiencing triple digit percentage increases in premiums for the lowest-priced coverage. Pre-ACA premiums for a 30 year old nonsmoking woman average $74.49 monthly, while post-ACA premiums average $188.72 per month, a $114.23, or 153 percent, increase. The average percent change between 2013 and 2014 minimum level plan monthly premiums is 193 percent, reflecting a nearly 2 to 1 ratio between the two sets of premiums.

Similar to the results for men, the maximum monthly increase for women show a 600 percent (a $332.69 increase), found in Vermont. A minimum monthly increase of 4 percent was found in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island ($7.57 and $8.07 increases, respectively), whereas the median increase is 183 percent (between Wyoming’s 186 percent increase and Colorado’s 180 percent increase) and 37 of the monthly increases range between 100 and 300 percent. States with the top five highest percent changes are (in order starting with the highest): Vermont, Nevada, Nebraska, Georgia, and Kansas. In addition, Vermont, Nevada, Wyoming, Alaska, and Mississippi all experience the highest actual dollar amount changes between 2013 and 2014.

OBAMA AND HIS HEALTH AND “HUMAN” SERVICES OUT TO KILL AMERICAN BABIES

The HHS mandate, finalized last February 10, 2012 by HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius require "preventive services" for women that must be included without co-pays or deductibles in nearly every health insurance plan in the country (Women’s Preventive Services Guidelines and HHS Mandate.)   

This also provides “free” coverage for early-abortion pills, contraceptives, sterilizations, and “education and counseling” about choose and use (Women’s Preventive Services Guidelines and HHS Mandate Pg. 2)   While those items are “free”, nearly all other medications (heart pills, insulin, etc.) still cost the same.  

The viciousness of the Obama imposition against the values of traditional American religions goes against the national views of liberties and rights that American citizens have enjoyed since the adoption of the Constitution.  Therefore, it is unacceptable that Obamacare mandates that employers include early abortion-inducing items and contraception in health insurance for employees, going against the beliefs of the founding families owning many of those businesses.

FUTILE SHUTDOWN EFFORTS

Despite the shutdown efforts by Congress to thwart the implementation of Obamacare, it was still inaugurated in October, but only to encounter a failure disrupting the entire operation.  The Obamacare website simply collapsed.  

Many have been the articles written on the subject these days, and we recommend the excellent one written by savvy author and former speechwriter of First Lady Laura Bush, Andrew Malcolm, “Oblivious Obama totally clueless of ObamaCare troubles, Sebelius asserts.”

In this time and era when IT and cybernetics rule, it is outright incomprehensible to face such system failure.  

When Sebelius says Obama was clueless, it appears more of a cover up to protect the president.  

It is difficult, if not impossible, to envision the man whose mantle has been the reform of the American healthcare system, from day one of his first candidacy, not being curious and fastidious to know all details regarding the operating conditions of “his” Obamacare website.  

Therefore, it is not too far-fetched to consider the failure may not be incompetence after all, but the result of ill will to create chaos and disorder.  

After all those are Obama’s mentor, Saul Alinsky’s instructions to his disciples, create chaos and confusion.  

WHAT DOES A CARING GOVERNMENT LOOK LIKE?

When a government puts together a new healthcare reform and its statutes contain about 425,116 words, while its regulations contained until 2012, roughly 1,147,271 words published as part of Obamacare, and when Americans are threatened and trapped by their president and his “health” and “human” services, then there is something definitely wrong.

Obamacare is an oxymoron.  The most anti-American president of this country does not care for the well-being of average Americans, whether democrats or republicans. His is not a “care” but a bevy of threats, compulsion, breaking of laws that appear in the Constitution.

His so called “Health and Human Services” have nothing of “human”.  The HHS are there to jeopardize the physical and mental health of American citizens, from unborn babies through elderly citizens.  Americans are the victims now of their  government silent economic and psychological terrorism.   They now have to live under pressure wondering about their fate, as a result of this threat against their livelihood and their health safety.

HOW DOES A CARING GOVERNMENT LOOK LIKE?

Let’s quickly compare Obamacare with another country’s healthcare system:  In Switzerland, there exists an excellent, basic, universal, healthcare system, one fee for all, roughly $5,000 dollars per year, and absolutely everyone pay only 10% copay.  It is simple, direct and, above all, it does not cause anyone any stress.   Doctors and patients declare themselves satisfied.

It is said that the peoples have the government they deserve.  

American pioneers conquered a huge geographic surface and within the lapse of barely 237 years, turned her into the world’s superpower.  Americans even imposed their monetary system and style in a world with cultures and civilizations that existed millennia before the American Dream existed.

A caring government is one that places the national interest and the health, economic and political safety of the people they should care for, above any other item on their agenda.

Truly, it does not matter which party the government is, because whether Republican or Democrat, Right or Left, the utmost concern must be the nation and its citizens.

Let’s face it, Obamacare is the testimonial of how much Obama hates America and Americans of all corners of life, and it reflects in his wish to turn them into slaves, with undeclared extortion and murderous rulings against unborn babies -not for health reasons, but for ANY reason.

Obama is the number one enemy of the United States of America, and with him all his cohort. Obamacare should not be defunded.  It should be abolished in its entirety.

The problem is not only that Obama and his ilk are progressives.  The real problem is that above all they are anti-American.  

Sadly, for as long as Obama will be president, there is no chance that the attacks to destroy America from the inside will stop until Americans be fully ruined and the country entirely destroyed.

AMERICA DOES NOT NEED AN ANTI-AMERICAN PRESIDENT.

AMERICA DESERVES BETTER.

BENADOR: TOMMY ROBINSON QUITS EDL: SURRENDER OR VICTORY?

Ever since he created the English Defence League back in 2009, Tommy Robinson, from Luton, UK, has become a legendary figure in the fight against Islam’s invasion of the West, and most particularly, Great Britain.

Tommy Robinson, a pseudonym for his real name is Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, has said in an interview : "I have been considering this move for a long time because I recognise that, although street demonstrations have brought us to this point, they are no longer productive. I acknowledge the dangers of far-right extremism and the ongoing need to counter Islamist ideology not with violence but with better, democratic ideas."

Interestingly, seems that Robinson’s enlightenment has come through the Quilliam Foundation in London, a counter extremism organization led by Maajid Nawaz, formerly of the pro-caliphate organization Hizb ut-Tahrir and a former terrorist, now the author of “Radical -My Journey from Islamist Extremism to a Democratic Awakening.”  

Mohammed Shafiq, chief executive of the Ramadhan Foundation, said he had met Robinson last week, when he shared he “... was leaving the EDL because he couldn't control the extremist group," Shafiq said, adding that:   "At no stage did he reject his previous disgusting attacks on Islam and Muslims or apologize to the British people for the millions wasted policing their protests."

On his side, Nick Lowles, director of Hope Not Hate, which campaigns against extremism, said: "We celebrate Quilliam's efforts here but only a complete renunciation of the violence and hatred the EDL leaders have promoted, and a turning away from the anti-Muslim rhetoric they have championed, will be enough for the many thousands who have suffered from the EDL's ugly actions over the past three years."  Lowles, however, failed to assure that his organization demand and will demand Muslim Islamists to stop the usual hate they traditionally teach in their mosques.  

In his statement, Robinson said he acknowledged the "dangers of far-right extremism". However, he still believes in the need to counter Islamist ideology – "not with violence but with better, democratic ideas.”

Ironically, on this same day, MI5 Chief, Andrew Parker has issued a warning to the British public on the Islamist threat, on his first address since he took over his functions last April.   Among others, his concerns coincide with those of Western governments - that British-based jihadists will one day return from the killing fields of Syria and turn their new-found skills on the population back home.

Speaking on the BBC's 5 Live radio later, Tommy Robinson said he was tired of being associated with "morons" who advocate violence against Muslims.  "When some moron lifts up his top and has got a picture of a mosque saying boom and it's all over the national newspapers - it's me.

SOCIAL PRESSURE

It is understandable that in the life of a parent, one’s children take precedence.  So, it is with respect that one has to receive the news of this change of heart from one of Britain’s most courageous leaders in this beginning of the XXIst century.  

Robinson explains:   "It's when I pick up my kids from school the parents are looking at me, judging me on that. That's not what I stood for. My decision is to be true to what I stand for and whilst I want to lead a revolution against Islamist ideology I don't want to lead a revolution against Muslims. I believe the revolution needs to come from within the Islamic community and they need to stand up and I believe this is a step forward not a step back."

ROBINSON, DEMOCRACY vs ISLAMISM

Tommy Robinson’s gamble is a great moment in History.  It is obvious the man is honest and has thought his decision thoroughly, but there remain many questions.

Maajid Nawaz has been part of Hizbu al-Tahrir. Hizb means party in Arabic and while in some countries they have organized a party, in others they have not, its agenda advocates the  re-establishment of the caliphate to provide stability and security to both Muslims and non-Muslims in the predominantly Muslim regions of the world.   Indeed, establishing the caliphate is a religious duty, "an obligation that Allah has decreed for Muslims and commanded them to fulfill. He warned of the punishment awaiting those who neglect this duty.

Quoting the work of Hizb ut-Tahrir founder, Taqiuddin al-Nabhani suggests that once Hizb ut-Tahrir has succeeded in creating a unified, transnational Islamic state it should aim at expanding the state into non-Muslim areas.  

And, with taqqiya always in mind, the West must always ask, how sincere is someone as Maajid Nawaz, Robinson’s new partner, has he renegated the above, is he against Muslim world domination and aims at stopping it?  

Tommy Robinson believes in Democracy.  

Muslims intellectuals and pragmatics alike count on Democracy. 

One day, in the not too distant future, when they will have the majority, they will be free to do as they please.  

Meanwhile, they have gotten a great ally who has made a tough decision and has gone from being one of most courageous and patriotic British leaders in recent times, to becoming the partner of former Muslim terrorists fighting terrorism in general but who have yet to speak in no uncertain terms against Islam world domination.

BENADOR: IN MEMORIAM

This evening we gathered at synagogue, as usual, for Minha, read the small portion of the next parashah for the coming week.  At the end, we proceeded to have our third meal and the last one of Shabbat, as usual.  
But, this time, it was not as "usual". 
As you know, we are not supposed to be sad on Shabbat. 
But, this time was not just as other Shabbatot... 
There were at least five times more people, we were to more than capacity. 
Actually, when the Torah was taken out of the Torah, the most beautiful Torah was chosen.  
And, before it was read, one of our young men did something unusual, that in hindsight, I now understand.  
He made a humongous effort and he lifted the super heavy Torah, all opened, and then he raised it with his arms fully stretched, as high as he could, and with her in his hands and in his powerful arms, he turned around for all of us to see her.  He turned slowly...  
Back to the Seudah Shlishit... 
Not only the attendance was overwhelming, but the meal was sumptuous and abundant.  
In our synagogue, nothing is noisy, everything is trying to keep HaShem in our minds and in our behaviour as well.
Weddings are not announced with fanfare, Bar Mitzvot are held as the most natural thing, dinners, luncheons, seuda, are for everyone, all the same.  
But, this time, it was not as usual.
This time, the Seuda was being hosted by two parents...  in honour of their just deceased young son... 
The Rabbis were there, we all were there...  but, how can anyone console a mother and a father who have lost their precious son... 
All of us, women, surrounded the mother, whose tears made ours roll... 
There is nothing one can say.  My eyes crossed his Mother's eyes, both with tears in our eyes...  
So we did the only thing we Jews can do: We listened to the words of the Torah and we looked for refuge in G d Almighty Compassion... 
Baruch Dayan Ha Emet  
May you be consoled among the mourners of Sion and Yerushalayim...  

RAV BINYAMIN ZE'EV KAHANE: Parashat Noach - Creation annihilated?

Parashat Noach raises the following question: Why did G-d wipe out all of the beasts, birds, and crawling things in the flood? If man sinned, why should the animals suffer? Rashi explains: "The entire creation is for man, and when man is wiped out, who needs all these?" That is, the purpose of the creation is not simply to exist, but rather to actualize the destiny of the Creation. The moment there is no purpose (which is the case after G-d wiped out man, for whom the world was created), then the animals must perish since there is no longer a reason for their existence. Here, too, the moment the deeds of man prove that there is no longer a possibility for him to fulfill his destiny, his existence is no longer necessary, and he perishes.But we are still left wondering: All that creation, just for annihilation? All those generations before the flood (a span of 1654 years) were for nothing?

The answer is no. Harsh though this verses may be, a verse appears at the very end of Bereshit which turns everything around: "But Noach found grace in the eyes of G-d". And while this lonely verse may appear to be only a small comfort to a world gone astray, the truth is that this one verse is everything. Even if we are speaking about one individual – he is the one who counts. Noach is the justification for the world's continued existence.

G-d created the world for the sake of those who will eventually fulfill the world's destiny, and He is not deterred by the possibility that there may be just a very few out there who may be willing. What really counts is that small ray of light that sometimes is not paid much attention to, but illuminates the world with the light of the world's true destiny.

But...

For 120 years, Noah fulfilled G-d's commandment and built the ark, all the while warning the people in his generation about the impending flood. When the people would pass by his house and ask what he was doing, he would reply, "The Almighty said that He is bringing a flood upon the world". The people reacted with vicious mockery. (Bereishit Raba 30:7)

The question that can be asked is the following: For 120 years Noach warned of the flood. And what came out of it? At first glance absolutely nothing! In the end, the flood wiped out the entire world, except for whom? Except for Noach and his family. Not even one person was convinced to do "teshuva". Not even one! Noach's "life endeavor"of 120 years was a waste of time. Or was it?

The story of Noach provides us with a concrete illustration as to what the true role of the chastising prophet is. Certainly the major goal of the warnings and admonishment are to direct the people onto the proper path, in the hope that they will do "teshuva" immediately. But in contrast as to what one might think, if the prophet does not succeed in bringing the people to "teshuva", this does not necessarily mean that he failed! A deeper look will reveal that the rebuke in itself has value. If we look at the prophets of Israel, we will notice an amazing fact: Generally speaking, they were a dismal failure. It seemed as if they influenced no one. The people were not interested in hearing them, and did not change their evil ways. Does this mean that there was no value in the warnings of the prophets? Of course not. After all, the words of the prophets are inscribed forever in our holy Tanach.

The answer to this question van be found in G-d's answer to Ezekiel when He appoints him as a prophet (chapter 2) "And He said to me, Son of man, I sent thee to the children of Israel...that have rebelled against me...and you shall say to them, Thus says the Lord G-d. And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will refuse to hear, (for they are a rebellious house), so that they shall know that there has been a prophet amongst them ". And afterwards (3:7): "But the house of Israel will not hearken to you..." Can this be? If G-d knows that they will not listen, why send Ezekiel out and put him through such humiliation and abuse? And so a new concept is learned here. The saying of truth has value, even if it has no apparent influence at that particular moment. What is the value? "So that they shall know that there has been a prophet amongst them". Even if immediate results are not seen, the value of the warnings are that they manifest the bringing in of G-d's word into the world. The prophet who expresses G-d's truth in giving expression to G-d's actual presence in this world. It is showing us that the world is not "hefker" (chaos). There is justice in the world. By so doing, the prophet in essence sanctifies G-d's name.

RABBI MEIR KAHANE: Parashat Bereshit – The purpose of man's creation

And G-d said, "Let Us make man, in Our image, after Our likeness. They shall rule over the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky and over the animal, the whole earth, and every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth." (Gen. 1:26) ...And He said, "Who told you that you are naked? Have you eaten of the tree from which I commanded you not to eat?" (Gen. 3:11)

Man's supreme, guiding principle must be to know what his task is in the world and to ascertain the ways of G-d, the Divine ideas and traits he should cling to in order to achieve that task. Man's subjugating his ego beneath G-d's yoke and his readiness to cling to G-d and pay absolute obeisance to His sovereign authority are prerequisites to his attaining the complete holiness emanating from G-d. The purpose of creation was to create a being different from all others in the world. He would be different from the beasts and fowl, which are incapable of conquering their passions. By nature, they are slaves to their material desires, and their lives focus entirely on the need to satisfy their lusts. How can they incur punishment when they have no free choice, filling only a bestial role? Neither would he be like the ministering angels, who are incapable of indulging their evil impulse since they have none. Having no free will, innately holy and good, how can they ever earn reward?

This being, man, is unique, different from all other creatures G-d created. While it is true that he has within him an evil impulse, he also has the mental resources and spiritual fortitude to overcome that impulse and control it – how great and exalted this is! This was G-d's great message to Cain (Gen. 4:7): “If you do well,shall you not be spared? But if you do not do well, sin crouches at the door. It lusts after you but you can control it.” Our sages commented (Lekach Tov, Gen. 4:7), “The whole desire of the evil impulse is to take hold of you, but if you wish, you can control it.” A person is not free, he is not at liberty to act however he pleases. He is bound by the yoke of Heaven, the fetters of our holy Torah. Only by agreeing to serve G-d and accept His yoke does he become free. This alone liberates him from the empty bestiality which enslaves him to his own needs, to his own selfish ego, to abominable lust. G-d does not recognize man's right to do as he pleases as long as it does not harm his fellow man. G-d established that a man's life does not belong to him. Man was commanded to live and given a path to follow. Not only is he forbidden to harm his fellow man, but he is forbidden to harm himself. As long as a person opposes his Maker, he harms himself. He takes his own soul, committing spiritual suicide, and he is not free to act this way.

Life, itself, is not a man's personal property. G-d blew into man the breath of life only so he would lead a well-defined life of goodness. As our sages said (Avot 4:29), “Perforce you were born and perforce you live.” On the one hand, man's foundation is from dust and his end is dust. He is likened to a broken potsherd and a faded flower, and even the mosquito preceded him in Creation: “What is man that You are mindful of him?” On the other hand, G-d “made him but little lower than the angels.” He elevated man almost to the level of Heavenly beings, angels with their holiness, purity and knowledge of G-d. Yet the very fact that man remained on a lower level than the angels, keeping his evil impulse, actually makes him greater than they. Man has an evil impulse, but also the resources to overcome it and to submit himself and his egotistic pride to G-d's commands. Nothing is greater than that. For the sake of this the world was created – for man alone.

G-d chose Israel to exemplify the perfect human being who would uphold a world of perfection, of total goodness, as G-d wished His world to be at the start of Creation.

Yevamot 61a states that Israel are called "Adam" , but the nations are not. The reason is that Israel were given the mission originally given to Adam, to crown G-d King over himself and over the entire world, thereby sanctifying the world with goodness through G-d's attributes, ways and values. This was the intent of Him Whose word brought the world into being - to create a world that was entirely good, as was stated after He created it: " G-d saw all that He had made, and behold, it was very good" (Gen. 1:31). Here, "very good" means "entirely good".

After Adam sinned and G-d saw that it was impossible to achieve by natural processes a state in which all of mankind would be good, He decided to create a single emissary, one nation which would be anointed as G-d's Messiah on earth, a light unto the nations to teach them G-d's ways. This Messiah, this chosen people, was Israel. Israel were called "Adam" because it was they who were to continue the mission of Adam, who was created for this purpose yet failed. Thus, Shir HaShirim Rabbah 2:[2]3 states, "The world was created only for Israel's sake", i.e. only for the sake of the mission given to Israel. Once again, this means that Israel were chosen to be G-d's emissary in the world, to create, fashion and perfect it according to the Torah blueprint (See Bereshit Rabbah, 1:1).

Thus, we are to praise G-d and recount those praises until all the nations on earth know and recognize the the L-rd is G-d, bend at the knee and bow down to His Majesty, and accept upon themselves the yoke of Heaven.
