#StopWatchingUs: “A Rally Against Mass Surveillance”

President Obama has been playing with fire, pushing Americans around under the watchful eye of Congress.  And the result is showing.

Stop Watching Us is an organization of 100 public advocacy groups, among them the American Civil Liberties Union, Freedom Works, as well as individuals like Chinese artist-activist Ai Weiwei and Glenn Greenwald, the journalist who interviewed Edward Snowden and helped him expose many of the NSA’s surveillance procedures.

They organized a rally last Saturday, October 26 -the 12th anniversary of the US Patriot Act.  The event began at 11:30 am and took place in Washington, D.C.  

As expected, the rally has been vastly under-reported by the American mainstream media, Mr. Obama’s para-official state media.

People are fed up with being tossed around by the Obama apparatus.  In what is supposed to have been the largest privacy rally in American history, they were demanding an end to the mass NSA surveillance, inside the United States and abroad.

It is evident that ever since Edward Snowden open the Pandora box labeled NSA, last May 2013, Americans have learned and continue to experience, by painful bits, how their privacies are being curtailed.  And, that’s the tip of the iceberg.

Although the magnitude of the activities of the NSA are unknown and probably cannot presently be fathomed, it is important that Americans show Obama and his Administration that they will not tolerate this kind of abuse.

In fact, Snowden, released a statement in support of the rally:

"In the last four months, we’ve learned a lot about our government. We’ve learned that the US Intelligence Community secretly built a system of pervasive surveillance.

Today, no telephone in America makes a call without leaving a record with the NSA. Today, no Internet transaction enters or leaves America without passing through the NSA’s hands. Our representatives in Congress tell us this is not surveillance. They’re wrong.

We’ve also learned this isn’t about red or blue party lines. Neither is it about terrorism.

It is about power, control, and trust in government; about whether you have a voice in our democracy or decisions are made for you rather than with you. We’re here to remind our government officials that they are public servants, not private investigators.

This is about the unconstitutional, unethical, and immoral actions of the modern-day surveillance state and how we all must work together to remind government to stop them. It’s about our right to know, to associate freely, and to live in an open society.

We are witnessing an American moment in which ordinary people from high schools to high office stand up to oppose a dangerous trend in government.

We are told that what is unconstitutional is not illegal, but we will not be fooled. We have not forgotten that the Fourth Amendment in our Bill of Rights prohibits government not only from searching our personal effects without a warrant but from seizing them in the first place.

Holding to this principle, we declare that mass surveillance has no place in this country.

It is time for reform. Elections are coming and we’re watching you."

WHY WORRY ABOUT SURVEILLANCE?

The former East Germany has infamously led in this field.  Few Americans may have heard about the “Stasi”, the East German state police, part of the Ministry of State Security or Ministerium für Staatssicherheit, founded on February 8, 1950, until the Fall of the Wall that marked the end of East Germany, on October 4th, 1990.  

Stasi existed forty long years, enough to perfect its machinery of oppression, espionage, international terrorism and subversion, in the name of providing “full protection” to East Germans.  

When the regime collapsed, the Stasi had 102,000 full-time officers and noncommissioned personnel on its rolls, including 11,000 members of the ministry's own special guards regiment. Between 1950 and 1989, a total of 274,000 persons served in the Stasi.

Comparatively speaking, the Stasi was much worse than the Gestapo.  According to Nazi hunter Simon Wiesenthal, "The Gestapo had 40,000 officials watching a country of 80 million while the Stasi employed 102,000 to control only 17 million." Besides, the Nazi horror lasted ‘only’ twelve years.

In “Revenge versus the Rule of Law,” author John O’Koehler, states that “To ensure that the people would become and remain submissive, East German communist leaders saturated their realm with more spies than had any other totalitarian government in recent history.

The Soviet Union's KGB employed about 480,000 full-time agents to oversee a nation of 280 million, which means there was one agent per 5,830 citizens. Using Wiesenthal's figures for the Nazi Gestapo, there was one officer for 2,000 people. The ratio for the Stasi was one secret policeman per 166 East Germans.

When the regular informers are added, these ratios become much higher: In the Stasi's case, there would have been at least one spy watching every 66 citizens! When one adds in the estimated numbers of part-time snoops, the result is nothing short of monstrous: one informer per 6.5 citizens. It would not have been unreasonable to assume that at least one Stasi informer was present in any party of ten or twelve dinner guests.”

Like a giant octopus, the Stasi's tentacles probed every aspect of life. Full-time officers were posted to all major industrial plants.

Without exception, one tenant in every apartment building was designated as a watchdog reporting to an area representative of the Volkspolizei (Vopo), the People's Police. In turn, the police officer was the Stasi's man.

If a relative or friend came to stay overnight, it was reported. Schools, universities, and hospitals were infiltrated from top to bottom.

German academe was shocked to learn that Heinrich Fink, professor of theology and vice chancellor at East Berlin's Humboldt University, had been a Stasi informer since 1968. After Fink's Stasi connections came to light, he was summarily fired. Doctors, lawyers, journalists, writers, actors, and sports figures were co-opted by Stasi officers, as were waiters and hotel personnel.

Tapping about 100,000 telephone lines in West Germany and West Berlin around the clock was the job of 2,000 officers.  

Stasi officers knew no limits and had no qualm when it came to "protecting the party and the state." Churchmen, including high officials of both Protestant and Catholic denominations, were recruited en masse as secret informers. Their offices and confessionals were infested with eavesdropping devices. Even the director of Leipzig's famous Thomas Church choir, Hans-Joachim Rotch, was forced to resign when he was unmasked as a Spitzel, the people's pejorative for a Stasi informant.

Absolutely nothing was sacred to the secret police.

AMERICA TERRORIZING AMERICA

Surveillance is not only surveillance, but the mechanism that can facilitate terrorizing the population.  Useful tools to terrorize, after surveillance, are coercion, imprisonment, torture and death.

That is what the Stasi did, as it is recorded.  

In similar cases, coercion has forced relatives to tell on relatives, and children on parents.  

In the case of Iraq under Saddam Hussein, all of that was recorded, as were the punishments included mutilation of ears, fingers, hands, feet, burns by cigarette, plus de remains of 400,000 found in various mass graves.  

In America there are already ten concentration camps, though no one knows why do they exist.  Will that be apparent soon?

When privacy of people is violated by the NSA surveillance, it is an attack that takes away from them the dignity to have a private life.  

It is as though the police would randomly enter a home with no search warrant.  And as such, it must be unacceptable and must not be tolerated.  

IRONY

Obama’s Cairo Speech in 2009 was an insult to America and to the autonomy of a country, Egypt, and their legitimate President, Mr. Mubarak, who until then had been, somehow, an ally.  Instead, Mr. Obama showed his allegiance to the Muslim Brotherhood.  

While the President is keen in recording each sigh of Americans, he has wide opened the doors to one of the principal promoters of terrorism, the Muslim Brotherhood, many of whose members are part of the Obama Administration.  His Administration has given them enough clearance to learn state secrets and access to essential jobs to help shape American politics.

Yet, this rogue President and his thuggish Administration have had the audacity to cowardly encourage stripping Americans of the intimate details of their private lives.  

WHAT NEXT?

The issue of safety is non-partisan . Therefore, it is time that Americans unite.  The cause is one and the people should be one.  

It was a big mistake electing Barack Hussein Obama and his team to lead the country.

His ill will does not exclude democrats.  Joblessness and unemployment also hit Americans of all venues, regardless of either party.  Attacks against the military are equally non-partisan.  The security issue does not make any difference either between democrats and republicans.  The Obamacare impositions also affect both.  Etcetera.

Thanks to Snowden, people have been alerted.  Slowly they are beginning to understand what the government incursion in their private lives will mean, because no one now feels free to speak over the phone, or email, or browse the internet.  International callers are also reluctant to speak to friends or relatives in America.  

Naturally, the situation could deteriorate beyond the wildest imagination and largely exceed the Stasi abuses, considering the internet extraordinary performance and its possibility to amass an infinite amount of data in much less space than could ever have been expected.

Americans are beginning to be fed up with the excesses and the crimes and misdemeanors of the Obama Administration.  Conforming with dictatorship is not really compatible with the agonizing American Dream that badly needs to be resuscitated.

Totalitarianism is the total and absolute control of the population. Spying is not among the presidential functions and it is pernicious to everything, including America’s deteriorating influence in world affairs.  

The European Parliament has recently voted to suspend its SWIFT data exchange agreement with the US following concerns that they are spying in the EU and not only trying to combat terrorism.  Angela Merkel, the German Chancellor, has inquired with the American President if he spied on her.  

As the respected Andrew Malcolm writes: “Obama assures Merkel U.S. is not spying on her phone and won't do it again.”  But, latest news report that Barack Hussein Obama has been aware of the spy program on the Chancellor.  

American democrats and republicans alike, may be wondering where did the dream go.  

Hopefully, united, they may soon decide that it is time to obstruct President Obama’s way to destroy America from inside -and save the dwindling reputation that once represented America’s Exceptionalism in the world.  

"Now it's time for the government to learn from us…   Join us in sending the message.”

The Series “Obama’s Brutal War on America" gives an oversight on the coming and going of a rogue Administration not shy of their tyrannical intentions.

America is the size of a continent.  There are not many countries in the world in the same scale, geographically and metaphorically speaking.  Analytical observation reveals a defeatist people in the face of reality. It could also hint to ungovernability -unless there  are responsible checks and balances from the interested side that holds the power, namely, the people.

Obamacare, we argued yesterday, is the President’s frontal attack against the health “care” that otherwise should have been a top priority of an America-loving President.

We will focus this time on Obama's brutal attack on the American military.

The attack on the military has many facets.  One defining step was the abolition DADT, Don’t Ask Don’t Tell policy that this President has been too keen in neutralizing.

Mr. Obama has a thing for the homosexual issue as it is obviously an efficient tool to emasculate the army of a nation and weaken its military defense.

With all due respect to homosexuals, the mere fact of being a homosexual man is the intrinsic rise in their beings of their feminine side. Expecting such a person to defend the country is not like placing America’s security at the sound, trained hands of G.I. Jane but rather in the delicate ones of Scarlett O’Hara.

More attacks of the Obama Administration were yet to come.

Fast-forwarding, are the tragic events at Fort Hood, where a Muslim terrorist, Nidal Malik Hasan, massacred 13 members of the United States Army at their military base and injured 32.  Despite “major” Hasan cowardly shooting his innocent, unsuspecting colleagues at the terrorist cry of Allah Hu Aqbar, the Obama Administration had the audacity to classify his treacherous attack as “workplace violence.”  Thus, the survivors of the victims as well as the injured, could not receive the Purple Heart status, meaning that the financial support they should be entitled receive in similar cases, this time is off limits for them.

Although the Hasan trial has resulted in a death sentence that is yet to be scheduled, his photo on Wikipedia shows him ostensibly wearing the American military outfit.

A few months after the capture of Osama Bin Laden and the treacherous public disclosure by the American President of the existence of the until then unknown highly trained counter-terrorism group Seal Team Six, 23 of its members, supposedly the same involved in the Bin Laden capture, were massacred at the hands of the Taliban.  There is no room for doubt on whom the source of the Taliban was:  The Obama Administration and, most particularly, the DoD.

On September 11th, 2012, eleven years after 9/11, in Benghazi, again the American President turned his back on former Navy Seals who were in charge of the safety of the American Ambassador Christopher Stevens. Seems Obama was looking at the events unfolding at the beginning, but he left the television room while Americans were caught, tortured and slaughtered by barbaric Islamic terrorists.   Obama could have sent support to at least try and help those Americans, but he left them to die at the hands of the barbarians.

So far, justice has not been served.

The President knows perfectly well what he is doing.

Recently, Chief of Staff Gen. Ray Odierno did not hide his dissatisfaction when he announced to America and the world, “The [American] Army will have to move into an “extreme tiered readiness model” as it struggles to train and equip soldiers amid the ongoing fiscal crisis...”

“What we’ve been forced to do is cut readiness, cut modernization,” Odierno said. “We still have brigades, but if we ask them to go, they are not [ready]. That is not acceptable to me.” It should also be unacceptable to the American public at large.

It is worrisome when senior Army leaders say that only two brigade combat teams are combat-ready, in addition to those, preparing to deploy to Afghanistan or rotate to Korea.  Furthermore, it will become more and more challenging to train armored brigade combat teams that are costlier than training infantry and Stryker BCTs. In all, there is something wrong in America’s defense and safety.

That is not all.

The Commander-in-Chief is waging his own personal purge vendetta among the most heavily starred Generals that America has or, rather, had.

Right from the onset, the Obama Administration set the tone, firing General David McKiernan on grounds of “dissatisfaction” with the way the war in Afghanistan was going.  Probably, not enough friendly to Mr. Obama’s proteges, the on-and-off Taliban terrorists.  Then was the turn to Special Ops General Stanley McChrystal, also leading the American team in Afghanistan, fired mostly because he dared ruffle Biden’s feathers.

The highly decorated and respected General David Petraeus did not escape the razzia.  The man who was in charge of the surge and the success of the counter-insurgency strategy in Iraq, and demoted from CentCom, Central Command to lead the Afghan war, was Obama's nominee to the directorship of the CIA; thus he had to resign after roughly forty years of military service.  Later on, the Petraeus’s affair with his biographer was “discovered”. Another four-star general took the exit door.

Most recently and relatively calmly, the Obama Administration disposed of yet another four-star General John Allen, whose private flirtatious emails seem to have been sufficient reason for him to lose the job.

So Obama continues dismantling the American military, in purposeful quietness while Americans enjoy their soporific state and the rise of the soothing tyranny.

Now, the President has had yet another genius idea to even further “change” the military.  The idea is to create a unisex-style cap for the Marine Corps' uniform, so feminine looking that many have derided as "girly."

Does it matter that DoD will spend $8 million on such woman-like accessory -when reportedly they do not even have enough funding to buy bullets?

The whole purpose of this move, is double tiered:  Firstly, it intends to demoralize American men who are in the navy and equalize them to their homosexual colleagues who will feel comfortable and undoubtedly will welcome this more girly addition to their wardrobe. Secondly, it shows Obama how far he can continue violating the moral and the dignity of those who sacrifice all to defend the country and show them how they are defenseless because the American people do not stand up to defend them.

Lastly but by far not least, the total demoralization within the American army could not happen without undermining patriotic politics and religion, i.e., the traditional American religion and the Tea Party. That is precisely what the Obama Administration is doing.

There are reports that soldiers attending a pre-deployment briefing at Fort Hood, of all places, heard that evangelical Christians and members of the Tea Party were a threat to the country and that any soldier donating to those organizations would be subjected to punishment under the Uniform Code of Military Justice.

In a Gestapo-like behavior, seems that counter-intelligence agents in charge of such meetings,  spent nearly a half hour briefing soldiers on how evangelical Christians and organizations like the American Family Association were “tearing the country apart.”

When General Odierno speaks of “ongoing fiscal crisis,” it is fair to ask, “which crisis?”  As far as Obama regards, he hands out hundreds of millions and billions to his pet causes abroad, from the Muslim Brotherhood, to African electricity and passing by the Palestinians. Just another way for the President to continue ruining America.

This is no longer about partisanship because the individuals affected will include democrats and republicans alike.

The evidence that is mounting against the current President and his Administration, and his most perverse ill will against the country and the American people are massive and crushing.

Obama is brutally attacking and betraying America and Americans.  He and his gang are committing untold acts that, one day, will end up in crimes against humanity against Americans who are reading these lines and, many generations to come.  

To be sure, they are going after democrats and republicans alike.  Taking in consideration that democrats were the ones who got him elect, numerically speaking they are the ones who will ache most.  Is that what they wanted?

America has no use for a President who is her enemy number one.  

 The time for this President is up.

America is under a brutal war waged by the president himself with the democratic party and globalists at large. It shows with Obamacare, the disarming of the army, the de facto immigration taking place on a daily basis, the cruel laws promoting abortion to the point of committing crimes against healthfully born babies.  Things are also bad when one looks at the destruction of cities as in the case of Detroit, the outright assassination of Americans in Benghazi or the highly trained Team Six, massacred in Afghanistan thanks to inside treason.

OBAMACARE OXYMORON

Healthcare reform was candidate Barack Hussein Obama’s pet project, presenting competitive rates.  It began as a document with such a countless number of pages that it not even lawmakers were able to read it completely.   However, Congress, last year, passed the 906-page “Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act” followed by the 55-page “Healthcare and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010.”  Both together form Obamacare.

Obamacare is a coercion plan that from the onset puts pressure on users who are unable to get information on rates, so the public can get a rough idea of what awaits them.  Instead, users must, metaphorically speaking, strip themselves answering all kinds of questions which, after the state invasion of privacy acquired by the NSA, should be superfluous, but, no, NSA information is not enough.  They must have it, one more time, recorded for eternity as a way to chain Americans to the invisible slavery that now links them forever to the progressive system.

Comparatively, out-of-pockets costs in the Medicaid system were minimum. In the insurance marketplaces of Obamacare, however, there are four levels of coverage: Bronze, silver, gold and platinum. Those levels correspond to the amount of health costs to be covered for an average applicant: 60 percent for bronze, 70 percent for silver, 80 percent for gold, 90 percent for platinum (there’s also a bare-bones “catastrophic" option available to applicants under age 30). The lower your level of coverage, the more you will pay out of pocket.

And, although Obama has been striving on pushing “equality” under all shapes and forms, here he presents America his Obamacare that hierarchizes America with four levels that hide different traps for its users.

There are also many Obamacare traps for employers,, to the point that many have began firing or reducing the work hours of their employees early in 2013, to avoid facing the weight of sanctions from the new healthcare reform.  

Indeed, as of 2014, Obamacare's "Employer Mandate" will set fines on employers with 50 or more employees who do not provide a certain level of health benefits. Because of certain IRS regulations many businesses are running their businesses in 2013 as if the Employer Mandate was already in effect. That means that, even now, businesses already had to cut worker hours to avoid being fined by Obamacare.

OBAMACARE ASSAULT ON AMERICANS

“Americans for Limited Government” remind us in their letter of June 19, 2012 to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), that when candidate Obama was first campaigning for the Affordable Care Act, he lied when he promised that, “First of all, if you’ve got health insurance, you like your doctors, you like your plan, you can keep your doctor, you can keep your plan. Nobody is talking about taking that away from you.”  

However, an HHS’s new “accommodation” took on a different tone, noting that “nothing precludes a religious organization from switching from a self-insured plan to an insured plan” in order to comply with the new regulation.  This suggestion signaled a contempt for self-insurance in America, and a lack of confidence in its TPA (third party alternative) option for self-insurers.

AFFORDABLE CARE ACT?  NOT REALLY

According to a study released by the American Action Forum, under Obamacare, for instance, the price of the lowest-cost health insurance coverage for a 30 year old single male non-smoker is set to increase by 260 percent between 2013 and 2014.

The 30 year old subject is part of a healthy group known as “young invincibles,” 18-35 year olds whose participation in the health insurance exchanges is necessary in order for the markets to function properly.  In consequence, when the same methodology is applied to a 30 year old single female nonsmoker purchasing the lowest-cost bronze level plan, the results – including an average increase of 193 percent – are just as shocking.

There were no decreases in 2014 premium rates for healthy, 30 year old women under the Obamacare exchange system as compared to the individual market in 2013. All 50 states and the District of Columbia saw insurance rate increases, with 42 of those states experiencing triple digit percentage increases in premiums for the lowest-priced coverage. Pre-ACA premiums for a 30 year old nonsmoking woman average $74.49 monthly, while post-ACA premiums average $188.72 per month, a $114.23, or 153 percent, increase. The average percent change between 2013 and 2014 minimum level plan monthly premiums is 193 percent, reflecting a nearly 2 to 1 ratio between the two sets of premiums.

Similar to the results for men, the maximum monthly increase for women show a 600 percent (a $332.69 increase), found in Vermont. A minimum monthly increase of 4 percent was found in both Massachusetts and Rhode Island ($7.57 and $8.07 increases, respectively), whereas the median increase is 183 percent (between Wyoming’s 186 percent increase and Colorado’s 180 percent increase) and 37 of the monthly increases range between 100 and 300 percent. States with the top five highest percent changes are (in order starting with the highest): Vermont, Nevada, Nebraska, Georgia, and Kansas. In addition, Vermont, Nevada, Wyoming, Alaska, and Mississippi all experience the highest actual dollar amount changes between 2013 and 2014.

OBAMA AND HIS HEALTH AND “HUMAN” SERVICES OUT TO KILL AMERICAN BABIES

The HHS mandate, finalized last February 10, 2012 by HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius require "preventive services" for women that must be included without co-pays or deductibles in nearly every health insurance plan in the country (Women’s Preventive Services Guidelines and HHS Mandate.)   

This also provides “free” coverage for early-abortion pills, contraceptives, sterilizations, and “education and counseling” about choose and use (Women’s Preventive Services Guidelines and HHS Mandate Pg. 2)   While those items are “free”, nearly all other medications (heart pills, insulin, etc.) still cost the same.  

The viciousness of the Obama imposition against the values of traditional American religions goes against the national views of liberties and rights that American citizens have enjoyed since the adoption of the Constitution.  Therefore, it is unacceptable that Obamacare mandates that employers include early abortion-inducing items and contraception in health insurance for employees, going against the beliefs of the founding families owning many of those businesses.

FUTILE SHUTDOWN EFFORTS

Despite the shutdown efforts by Congress to thwart the implementation of Obamacare, it was still inaugurated in October, but only to encounter a failure disrupting the entire operation.  The Obamacare website simply collapsed.  

Many have been the articles written on the subject these days, and we recommend the excellent one written by savvy author and former speechwriter of First Lady Laura Bush, Andrew Malcolm, “Oblivious Obama totally clueless of ObamaCare troubles, Sebelius asserts.”

In this time and era when IT and cybernetics rule, it is outright incomprehensible to face such system failure.  

When Sebelius says Obama was clueless, it appears more of a cover up to protect the president.  

It is difficult, if not impossible, to envision the man whose mantle has been the reform of the American healthcare system, from day one of his first candidacy, not being curious and fastidious to know all details regarding the operating conditions of “his” Obamacare website.  

Therefore, it is not too far-fetched to consider the failure may not be incompetence after all, but the result of ill will to create chaos and disorder.  

After all those are Obama’s mentor, Saul Alinsky’s instructions to his disciples, create chaos and confusion.  

WHAT DOES A CARING GOVERNMENT LOOK LIKE?

When a government puts together a new healthcare reform and its statutes contain about 425,116 words, while its regulations contained until 2012, roughly 1,147,271 words published as part of Obamacare, and when Americans are threatened and trapped by their president and his “health” and “human” services, then there is something definitely wrong.

Obamacare is an oxymoron.  The most anti-American president of this country does not care for the well-being of average Americans, whether democrats or republicans. His is not a “care” but a bevy of threats, compulsion, breaking of laws that appear in the Constitution.

His so called “Health and Human Services” have nothing of “human”.  The HHS are there to jeopardize the physical and mental health of American citizens, from unborn babies through elderly citizens.  Americans are the victims now of their  government silent economic and psychological terrorism.   They now have to live under pressure wondering about their fate, as a result of this threat against their livelihood and their health safety.

HOW DOES A CARING GOVERNMENT LOOK LIKE?

Let’s quickly compare Obamacare with another country’s healthcare system:  In Switzerland, there exists an excellent, basic, universal, healthcare system, one fee for all, roughly $5,000 dollars per year, and absolutely everyone pay only 10% copay.  It is simple, direct and, above all, it does not cause anyone any stress.   Doctors and patients declare themselves satisfied.

It is said that the peoples have the government they deserve.  

American pioneers conquered a huge geographic surface and within the lapse of barely 237 years, turned her into the world’s superpower.  Americans even imposed their monetary system and style in a world with cultures and civilizations that existed millennia before the American Dream existed.

A caring government is one that places the national interest and the health, economic and political safety of the people they should care for, above any other item on their agenda.

Truly, it does not matter which party the government is, because whether Republican or Democrat, Right or Left, the utmost concern must be the nation and its citizens.

Let’s face it, Obamacare is the testimonial of how much Obama hates America and Americans of all corners of life, and it reflects in his wish to turn them into slaves, with undeclared extortion and murderous rulings against unborn babies -not for health reasons, but for ANY reason.

Obama is the number one enemy of the United States of America, and with him all his cohort. Obamacare should not be defunded.  It should be abolished in its entirety.

The problem is not only that Obama and his ilk are progressives.  The real problem is that above all they are anti-American.  

Sadly, for as long as Obama will be president, there is no chance that the attacks to destroy America from the inside will stop until Americans be fully ruined and the country entirely destroyed.

AMERICA DOES NOT NEED AN ANTI-AMERICAN PRESIDENT.

AMERICA DESERVES BETTER.
