BENADOR: Celebrating Jerusalem Day: King David's City, Capital of the Land of Israe

B"H

The Old City of Jerusalem and the Temple Mount were liberated during the 1967 Six-Day War.The day is marked by Jews worldwide as “Jerusalem Day.” Jerusalem belongs exclusively to the Jews.

I remember the first time I visited many years ago, I fell in love with Jerusalem, I enjoyed touching the Stones of Jerusalem, I knew I was touching the History of our people and, regardless of whimsical opinions, our History has made the History of the world...

"Jerusalem is for Israel the focal point of Jewish History: the symbol of ancient glory, of longing, of prayer, of modern renewal." -- Abba Eban

Jerusalem just as Israel were words pronounced by G-d himself for the first time ever.  And, those who want to contend this, they can feel free to show us where are those two words, Jerusalem and Israel, mentioned before the Torah.

The Talmud says Jerusalem was named by G-d and the name is formed by two roots:  Yira means “to see” or “vision” and and shalayim comes from the word-root shalom which means “peace.”

The Talmud also says that the creation began in Jerusalem and from there, the world radiated.  As a matter of fact, medieval maps show Jerusalem at the epicenter of Asia, Europe and Africa.  The world flows into this spot and life itself resonates from there.

As Abraham said, Jerusalem is the place where one can see G-d.  It was also the place of Abraham's sacrifice of Isaac.

In the year 1004, before the common era, the G-d loving, fierce Jewish warrior, King David establishes Jerusalem as the Capital of the United Kingdom of Israel.

His successor and son, King Solomon, in 960, builds the Temple on the site designated by his father.  However, in 922, the Kingdom was divided between north (Israel) and south (Judah) with Jerusalem as capital of the southern kingdom.  In 586, Nebuchednazzar, King of Babylon captured and destroyed Jerusalem including the First Temple, and exiles the Jews to Babylon.   Entre 536-537, exile in Babylon ends and the Jews began their way back home led by Ezra and Nehemia.  During the reign of Darius in Persia, Jerusalem is restored and they dedicated the Second Temple.   Antiochus Epiphanes, King of Syria, plunders Jerusalem in 170, And during 167 to 164, the Maccabean revolts by Hasmoneans ended by the desecration of Temple by Antiochus.

And nowadays we are looking forward to rebuilding the Third Temple.

Let's celebrate Jerusalem Day, with joy in our hearts and prayers for her safety and the safety of the Land of Israel...

And, I have chosen King David, G-d's Fierce Warrior, the Founder of Jerusalem, to tell the world of the Jewish Sovereignty in Jerusalem, the Capital of the Land of Israel, Given by G-d to the Jews.

May G-d bless Jerusalem and the Land of Israel and His Faithful Jews worldwide -and our devoted friends...

BIBI's MASTERPLAN

So, Bibi's speech in front of the American Congress came and went with the same speed as the winds that blow in the desert where Israel received their land from G-d Himself.

Sadly, none of us were surprised by the PM announcement that he was and is ready to give up Jewish Israeli land for peace and despite knowing that Israel's enemies are aiming to destroy country and people, he was unable to react as a former elite Sayeret Matkali and respond in sort in the face of danger.

What does any human being do in such cases, how does one react when someone is aiming to kill you or yours ? Wouldn't you shoot first?

When his brother, Yoni Netanyahu in the call of duty was in the face of danger, Yoni was the first to go in and got killed. He did not duck. He did not fear. He did what he had to do.

This Netanyahu is 'the other' kind of Netanyahu.

Saying that the land of Judea and Samaria are part of our Holy Land, and yet putting it on the table for exchange, was not only inadequate, but extremely irresponsible, endangering not only the people of the region, but also the courageous and young soldiers the IDF who are committed to their defense.

Saying that he people of Judea and Samaria are Jews -will not help, just as it did not help when the Fogel family was massacred in Itamar, Samaria some months ago -when Netanyahu and Ehud Barak gave in to inexcusable demands from the American president "not to continue" submitting Muslim Palestinians to searches because it was demeaning and attempting against their 'human' dignity. The result, we know it, was a despicable massacre where 2 parents and 3 of their children including a baby, had their throats slit and left to die in the most horrible dead...

And, Netanyahu had no better reaction than to order the building of 400 housing units in Judea Samaria.

What would have been the best possible response?

He should have simply signed the documents to 'legitimize' the status of Judea and Samaria once and for all.

Only then, the sacrifice of the Fogels would have made some kind of sense...

Now the enemy knows that the PM is putting the Land of Judea and Samaria up for grabs.

Regarding "Jerusalem United" this notion also came mitigated by some verbal acrobatics politicians are used to.

There are only two things in the favor of Israel's security so far in Netanyahu's speech:

(1) “Israel will not negotiate with a Palestinian government backed by the Palestinian version of al-Qaeda," he said, referring to Hamas.

(2) That the Palestinians be completely demilitarized while there would always be an Israeli military presence.

None of which regarding the Palestinians is likely to happen.

So, for now, we can breathe deeply and calmly and simply say Thank G-d for always looking after Israel and His people.

ANYBODY HOME...?

It's as if Americans have received an overdose of anesthesia to keep them in a very convenient lethargic state.

Thursday, May 19, 2011, the American president unveiled his views on Middle Eastern affairs, and as he mention one after the other Muslim country in the region, he did so more as their representative rather than the President and Commander-in-Chief of the United States of America.

Obama first devoted attention to Al Qaeda, as if the group was the only source, center and end of all the pernicious goals emanating from the larger Muslim radical agenda whose flagship plan is to conquer the world for Islam and which is happening via the infiltration of sharia through the quiet and silent invasion of the West by multitude of Muslims who have already establish domicile in forlorn, forsaken towns with almost unknown names, throughout Western countries, in Europe and the United States.

Now, a short list of countries in the Middle East that Obama and his Administration have chosen purposefully to betray in favor of ignorant, uneducated and yet, appears, pro-democracy, masses -that one day, the next generations, may well find out they were supported by Iran, Saudi Arabia, to mention just a few of the main possible standard bearers of radical extreme, sharia Muslim countries.

Egypt, Bahrain, Libya, Syria, Yemen... are a few of the regimes who were so far keeping a fragile but somehow longstanding status quo, not allowing a total takeover by the extremists that now are the ones 'aspiring', according to Mr. Obama, to a "democratic" lifestyle and government. Really?

For instance, he mentioned Tunisia, which in his words is going in the "right" direction though the next day, the Arab media reported an interview with Tunisian Muslim Brotherhood leader Rachid Ghannouchi in which he calls for and predicts the end of Israel. So much for that.

Obama spoke of 'self-determination', that people in the region had nowhere to turn, no 'honest' judiciary to hear their case, no 'independent' media to hear their voice, no 'credible' political party to represent their views. He spoke of their lack of self-determination, no chance of making their lives what they will. Hmm... that sounds so familiar.

He also referred to the region's economic situation where despite some oil produced wealth in some countries, he said, knowledge, innovation are lacking. Right.

Then, just as any spin doctor, the president of the United States of America dared saying, that in the last six months, the Muslim world of the Middle East has being swept by a "moral force of non-violence" that, again according to him, "the people of the region have achieved more change in six months than terrorists have accomplished in decades..."

Let's see. "Moral force of non-violence?" And, if that's so why did he feel the need to take bankrupt America, without consulting the American Congress, to a risky, expensive, needless war in Libya...?

So, "the people of the region have achieved more change in six months than terrorists have accomplished in decades..." This implies those peoples he's speaking about are fulfilling the terrorists agenda -only with less violent means but violent nonetheless, or otherwise just plainly watch TV, if the American government authorizes MSM to show us what's going on in Libya, from where by the way we are getting almost no news on a daily basis. Am I wrong...?

We would be remiss if we would forget to honor someone who has witnessed what President Obama calls "non-violence" first hand: CBS journalist Lara Logan, who was brutally and repeatedly raped in Egypt by 200 Muslims at the Tahrir Square during the so-called "peaceful" celebration of resignation of 30-year Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, last February 11, 2011.

If that's called "non-violence" then we won't be surprised by the lack of condemnation of advancement of sharia law under which stoning, mutilation, honor killing and more are legalized.

But, what many seem to have overheard is Obama saying "...though these countries may be at great distance from our shores, we know that our own future is bound to this region by the forces of economics, security, by history and by faith."

Anybody home?

Has anybody realized that this man is saying that you and I are connected to this region by forces of faith? Which faith?

Not the Jewish faith -because minutes later he was in sum going to call for the destruction of Israel... sorry to be as blunt as he...

The faith Mr. Obama is referring to, is Islam, the faith of the Muslim world -which, according to him, we share with them.

Why would he say that? Maybe his/their plans are going so well that Americans in their stupor won't see even if they look at it right in the eyes.

In sum, the assured tone that Mr. Obama used to elevate the level of evolution within the Muslim world of the Middle East geographical region was astoundingly optimistic despite signs that are showing exactly the opposite direction as those Muslims are stirring gears towards radicalism and jihadism.

Doing so, the American president is willfully choosing to endanger the country -and at the same time he keeps stroking his ego with the now constant mention of the premeditated wait-and-capture of Osama Bin Laden just days after he launched his re-election campaign.

The man is taking dangerously by the hand the silent and complacent American people, who appear as willing and ready to jump the precipice with their fatalist, hypnotized attitude...

Next, the president did what no other president has never been done in all the History of the United States.

Obama asked Israel to give up territories regardless of so many factors: We are speaking of a geographically tiny country, our ally and a country slightly bigger than New Jersey, not the size of France or even Panama for that matter -just giving random examples.

He is also speaking here of giving up territories that millennia long have had an outright Jewish history. He is also speaking of giving up many landmarks that associate their history to the Jews and Israel.

Most of all, he is also speaking of reducing that tiny land to indefensible borders...

Why would the key ally of Israel ask for something so impossible? Simply because American President Obama has a true connection to all Muslim countries that surround Israel and who have no will to see this tiny country in their midst.

The president's actions unveil the agenda closest to his heart, none other than the support of the uprising and upcoming tide of Muslim extremism in and from the Middle East.

This particular item in his agenda is the number one despite the American people's will that he safeguard, protect and advance America and American interests.

What's appalling, however, is the state of inertia in which the American people is choosing to live and not react.

The issue of Israel is not only about that tiny country but about what it represents. If you think of contributions that any human group has made to the advancement of Western civilization -simply put: There is no other group that has by far made so many contributions to the well-being, betterment and advancement of mankind than the Jewish people and Israel, who with their work, their sweat and their blood but also with their brilliance and will, have and continue to bring the most positive inventions to improve Western standards of living.

Betraying one's own key ally is not in the interest of any country. Strategically speaking is a self-defeating move. In military strategy it is called a suicidal move.

It's time for Americans to decide if they really want to jump to the bottom of the precipice.

“If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without blood shed;
if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly;
you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival.

There may even be a worse case.

You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”

Sir Winston Churchill.
